Actions

Before you start

Please ensure you are familiar with Container Types before reading this article. Container Types serve as the categories for containers within Paperwork, and Actions are the verbs that describe what happens to these containers.

This article provides insights into the Actions table within References.

Actions describe the operations that can be performed on containers that hold waste. For example, "Collection" of a 1100ltr bin or "Exchange" of a 12yd skip.

Completely optional

Actions is a purely optional area of Paperwork. It comes down to individual organisations' business logic whether or not it is used.

Understanding Actions

Actions in Dsposal's Paperwork include the following information:

  • Action: The name of the action, providing a descriptive label for identification.
  • Status: Indicates whether the action is active or archived.
  • Manage: Dropdown menu providing options to manage the action.

Adding an Action

  1. Click on the "Add Action" button.
  2. Enter the Action Name in the provided field.
  3. Click "Submit" to save the new action.

Managing Actions

Organisations can manage Actions by:

  • Adding new actions: Represent specific operations that can be performed on containers within the defined container types.
  • Editing existing actions: Update information such as action names or status.
  • Archiving actions: Mark actions that are no longer in use or relevant to streamline the list and improve usability within Paperwork.

Uses
