Caveats¶
Before you start¶
This article provides insights into the Caveats table, within References. Caveats are used for Waste entries in the Sales section or the Jobs section.
A caveat is a specific piece of information that is applied to the waste. For example, a caveat might be "nil solids" meaning the waste must not have any solid aspects.
Caveats added to this table are ones that are used frequently by an organisation, and can be pulled in when adding or updating waste entries.
It is important to note that caveats can also be addded by typing them into the "Caveats" text box within waste. Adding a caveat on the fly is best to use if a caveat will not be reused or is only relevant to the specific waste.
Completely optional
Caveats is a purely optional area of Paperwork. It comes down to individual organisations' business logic whether or not it is used.
Understanding Caveats¶
Caveats in Dsposal's Paperwork include the following information:
- Caveat: The description of the caveat, providing a descriptive label for identification.
- For Use Type: This defines whether the caveat is to be used within waste, extras, or both.
Managing Caveats¶
Organisations can manage Caveats by:
- Adding new caveats.
- Editing existing caveats to update caveat description or use type.
- Archiving caveats that are no longer in use or relevant to streamline the list and improve usability within Paperwork.
Uses¶
Shorter caveats work better
Short, single caveats are more effective in the references section. In sales and job contexts, adding multiple concise caveats enhances the sales document. Using shorter pieces of information enables more precise quote creation by gradually building up the caveat.
