Container Types

This article provides insights into the Container Types table within References. Container Types classify containers used by an organisation, such as IBCs, Skips, Bins, or Bales. Container Types can be added, edited, and archived and can aid in classification of containers.

Container Types act as parent categories, feeding into specific containers listed in the Containers section. For example, the Container Type "Skip" might include child containers like "4yd Open Skip".

Container Types is a required reference within Dsposal's Paperwork; they contain vital information that makes the process from quotes to invoice work.

Understanding Container Types

Container Types within Dsposal's Paperwork include the following information:

  • Container Type Name: The name of the container type, providing a descriptive label for identification.
  • Description: A brief description outlining the characteristics or purpose of the container type.
  • Number of Labels: The number of labels associated with the container type.
  • Collectable with Other Containers: Indicates whether the container type can be collected alongside other containers (Yes/No).
  • Revenue Nominal Code: Nominal code associated with revenue transactions related to the container type.
  • Expenditure Nominal Code: Nominal code associated with expenditure transactions related to the container type.
  • Archived: Indicates whether the container type is archived or active.
  • Actions: Dropdown menu providing options to view/edit or archive the container type.

Editable

Container Types are "Editable", meaning they can be changed by your organisation.

Managing Container Types

Organisations can manage Container Types by:

  • Adding new container types to accommodate specific container classifications required by the organisation.
  • Updating existing container types to reflect changes in descriptions, associated nominal codes, or collectability with other containers.
  • Archiving container types that are no longer in use or relevant to streamline the list and improve usability.
