Containers¶
Before you start¶
Please ensure you are familiar with Container Types before reading this article. Container Types serve as the parent categories for containers within Paperwork.
This article provides insights into the Container table, within References.
Containers are categorised under Container Types. For example, the Container Type might be "Skip", which feeds into the child Container "4yd Open Skip".

Containers is a required reference within Dsposal's Paperwork; they contain vital information that makes the process from quotes to invoice work.
Understanding Containers¶
Containers in Dsposal's Paperwork include the following information:
- Container Name: The name of the container, providing a descriptive label for identification.
- Container Short Code: An abbreviated code used to represent the container, facilitating quick reference and identification.
- Description: A brief description outlining the characteristics or purpose of the container.
- Container Sited: Indicates whether the container is sited (True/False), reflecting whether it is permanently located at a specific site or location.
- Container Type: The parent container type from which the container inherits its classification, as defined in Container Types.
- Archived Status: Indicates whether the container is archived or active.
- Actions: Dropdown menu providing options to view/edit or archive the container.
Managing Containers¶
Organisations can manage Containers by:
- Adding new containers to represent specific containers within the defined container types.
- Editing existing containers to update information such as descriptions, sited status, or archival status.
- Archiving containers that are no longer in use or relevant to streamline the list and improve usability within Paperwork.
