Drivers¶
Before you start¶
This article provides an overview of the Drivers table within References. Drivers can be assigned to jobs either in Scheduling or in the More Info section of Jobs.
Completely optional
Drivers is a purely optional area of Paperwork. It comes down to individual organisations' business logic whether or not it is used.
Understanding Drivers¶
Drivers in Dsposal's Paperwork include the following information:
- First Name: The first name of the driver (mandatory).
- Last Name: The last name of the driver (mandatory).
- Email Address: The email address of the driver.
- Mobile Number: The mobile number of the driver.
- Employee Number: The unique employee number assigned to the driver.
- Customer: The customer to which this driver is assigned, chosen from the Customers area within the Relationship Module.
- Show up in Scheduling?: Indicates whether the driver should be visible in the scheduling area within the work module (default is off).
Adding a Driver¶
- Click on the "Add Driver" button.
- Enter the required information in the provided fields:
- First Name: Provide the first name of the driver.
- Last Name: Provide the last name of the driver.
- Email Address: Provide the email address of the driver.
- Mobile Number: Provide the mobile number of the driver.
- Employee Number: Provide the unique employee number for the driver.
- Customer: Select the customer from the list to assign this driver to a specific customer.
- Show up in Scheduling?: Toggle on if you want this driver to be visible in the scheduling area.
- Click "Submit" to save the new driver.
Managing Drivers¶
Organisations can manage Drivers by:
- Adding new drivers: Register new drivers to be assigned to jobs.
- Editing existing drivers: Update information such as name, contact details, employee number, or customer assignment.
- Archiving drivers: Mark drivers that are no longer active to streamline the list and improve usability within Paperwork.

Drivers play a crucial role in the operational workflow, ensuring the right personnel are assigned to the right jobs and that scheduling is managed efficiently.
