This page provides a high‑level description of hosting, resilience, and continuity arrangements for the Paperwork platform.
Hosting model¶
- Delivery model: Cloud‑based Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Cloud provider: Microsoft Azure
- Primary hosting region: United Kingdom (UK)
- Access method: Web‑based application via modern browsers
All customer data is stored and processed within UK Azure regions.
Architecture principles¶
Paperwork is designed using the following principles:
- Multi‑tenant SaaS with logical segregation of customer data
- Stateless application tier to support scalability and resilience
- Managed services preference to reduce operational overhead
- API‑first design to support integrations
Core platform services¶
The platform uses Azure‑managed services including:
- Application hosting and compute
- Azure SQL Database and Blob Storage
- Azure Cache for Redis
- Azure Monitor and native logging services
Content delivery and edge protection are provided via Cloudflare.
Availability and resilience¶
- Target availability: 99.9% annually
- Continuous operational monitoring and alerting
- Platform designed for continuous operation with managed infrastructure
Backups and recovery¶
- Regular automated backups as part of normal operations
- Secure backup storage
- Recovery procedures tested and maintained internally
Specific recovery targets and schedules are addressed during formal procurement.
Business continuity and disaster recovery¶
Dsposal maintains business continuity and service restoration procedures covering:
- Service restoration priorities
- Communication and escalation protocols
- Incident response and recovery coordination
Formal BCP documentation is maintained and enhanced over time and can be discussed during procurement.
