The Customer Portal gives your clients read-only access to their waste data -- jobs, invoices, compliance documents, and reporting. As an administrator, you control which customers can access the portal and what they can see.
What your customers see
The portal provides two main areas for your customers:
- Company view -- organisation details, sites, sales, jobs, invoices, documents, and data export
- Reporting -- analytics dashboards covering waste volumes, costs, types, fates, and trends
Enabling the portal
Navigate to Settings then Customer Portal
Go to Settings in the sidebar and click Customer Portal. This is where you control portal availability and configuration.
Enable the portal toggle
Switch the portal toggle to Enabled. This makes the Customer Portal available for use but does not automatically grant access to any customers.
Configure portal settings
Choose which sections are visible to customers. You can show or hide individual areas such as jobs, invoices, documents, and reporting based on what you want your clients to access.
Save your changes
Click Save to apply your portal configuration. The portal is now active and ready for customer access.
Managing customer access
Open a customer record
Navigate to Relationships in the sidebar and click Customers. Select the customer you want to grant portal access to.
Navigate to the Portal Access tab
Click the Portal Access tab on the customer details page. This is where you control whether this specific customer can use the portal.
Enable portal access for this customer
Switch the portal access toggle to Enabled. This allows the customer to log in and view their data.
Add portal user accounts
Enter email addresses for the individuals who should have access. Each person receives their own login credentials. You can add multiple users per customer.
Save
Click Save to apply the changes. Users receive an invitation email with login instructions and a link to the portal.
Controlling visibility
You can control which data sections each customer can access. You may want to show jobs and documents but hide financial details, for example. Review the section toggles in your portal settings to tailor the experience for your clients.
